In Fathis: Birth of a Falcon there are two dimensions which I call the Lower and Upper Dimensions. I took creative license in these polar opposite worlds, but here is one of the inspirations I found in creating them.
A strangle anomaly that few have knowledge of; there are these occurrences of what is called a polar vortex which is a persistent, large-scale cyclone located near one or both of a planet's geographical poles. In essence polar tornadoes, but I refrain from calling them weather anomalies because of the scientific studies done on them. But, the polar vortices are located in the middle and upper troposphere and the stratosphere. The Antarctic polar vortex is stronger than the Northern and they are described as a stationary, spinning, gray fog in appearance.
Now here is the weird part; scientists in April of 2001, sent a weather balloon into the Antarctic one, and attached a meteorological instrument to it that calibrated temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, wind speed and a scientific chronometer to record the times of the readings.
They attached a cable to the balloon, and released it. The balloon and instrument were immediately sucked into the swirling vortex and disappeared.
After a several minutes, they decided to retrieve the balloon. Despite some difficulty they succeeded in bringing the balloon back to earth and checked the instruments and were stunned by the readout on the chronometer. It displayed a date, January 27, 1965.
The scientists repeated the experiment several times with the same result.
Read more about it here: http://www.eutimes.net/2011/04/deadly-time-vortex-appears-over-antarctica/ The next link is scientific research from Brown University on technical data about the vortex. http://www.cfm.brown.edu/people/sean/Vortex/
Time travel tornado? Weird. Whether there have been any more studies on it, I don't know. But I'm sure whatever government is in charge of that portion of Antarctica, is all over it. Who wouldn't want a time machine?
And as I stated before in an earlier blog, I know I am one of the few people that remembers Nelson Mandela dying in prison. I, at least, am certain I was either originally apart of another dimension or there was some sort of bleed through, letting me be temporarily a part of another dimension, which has been called the Mandela effect.
